Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data we process when you watch or chat on the Little Halt live stream on YouTube, visit littlehaltradio.com, or interact with the “Little Halt” Google API application. In short: we use only what YouTube already shows publicly in our own live chat, only to make the station react, and we do not sell or share it for advertising.
1. Who we are
The controller of your personal data is ROCKON sp. z o.o., ul. Zajączka 30/1, 01-510 Warszawa, Poland, VAT ID PL5252557058 (“Little Halt”, “we”, “us”). Contact for any privacy matter: janek@rockon.tech.
2. What we process and why
| Situation | Data | Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) | How long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| You send a chat command (a message starting with “!”) on our live stream | Your public YouTube display name, YouTube channel ID, the message text | Trigger the requested animation, show a short “called by <name>” credit on screen (after filtering), rate-limit spam | Art. 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in running an interactive stream | Held in server memory only, discarded within minutes; never written to disk |
| You send a Super Chat / Super Sticker or become a member | Display name, channel ID, your Super Chat comment, the event type | Show your filtered message on the station board for about 60 seconds, welcome new members | Art. 6(1)(f) | Memory only, as above. Payments are handled entirely by YouTube — we never see card or payment details |
| Moderation | Channel ID or display name of accounts that break the chat rules | Ignore commands from spammers and abusive accounts | Art. 6(1)(f) — keeping the chat safe | Until the ban is lifted; you may ask us to review a ban |
| Running the stream server | Technical logs (errors, connection status). Logs do not contain chat messages | Keep the service running, fix faults | Art. 6(1)(f) | Rotated automatically, max. 30 MB of logs (typically a few weeks) |
| Visiting this website | IP address, browser user agent, requested page (standard server logs kept by our host) | Deliver the website securely | Art. 6(1)(f) | According to the hosting provider’s log retention (Vercel) |
| You email us | Your email address and whatever you write | Answer you | Art. 6(1)(f) | As long as needed to handle the matter, then up to 3 years for possible claims |
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers. We do not profile you, make automated decisions with legal effect, or use your data for advertising. Our own content filter only hides links and rude words before anything is shown on screen.
3. The “Little Halt” Google API application
We use the YouTube API Services to run our own channel, @littlehaltradio. The Google OAuth application is signed in to only by our team, with our own channel account. It:
- reads messages from our own live chat to detect commands (scope
youtube.readonly); - manages our own stream and channel — stream keys, live broadcasts, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, channel banner and chat moderation (scope
youtube.force-ssl).
Viewers are never asked to sign in, and the application does not access any viewer’s Google account, private data, subscriptions or watch history. The OAuth tokens are kept only on our own server and computer, readable by our team alone, and are never shared.
Little Halt’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. By watching or chatting on our stream you also use YouTube, which is governed by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Access granted to Google API applications can be reviewed and revoked at any time at Google security settings.
4. Who else receives data
- Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd. (YouTube) — operates the platform where the stream and chat live; an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
- OVH GmbH — hosts our stream server in Germany (processor).
- Vercel Inc. — hosts this website (processor). Vercel may process data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your on-screen name and Super Chat message are, by design, visible to everyone watching the stream and may appear in recordings of the stream kept by YouTube. We do not sell personal data to anyone.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, to data portability, and to object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interest. To exercise them, email janek@rockon.tech — please include your YouTube channel name so we can find you. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa (uodo.gov.pl), or with the authority in your country.
The simplest way to avoid any processing is not to type commands in our chat — watching and listening alone does not give us any of your data.
6. Children
Using the YouTube chat requires a YouTube account, which is subject to YouTube’s minimum age rules. We do not knowingly collect more data from children than the public chat information described above.
7. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced in the stream description.
